Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that becoming a public servant and getting the opportunity for the nation’s development and human welfare is a privilege given to very few people. Public service with a service-minded attitude is the true identity of a public servant. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers of District Panchayats and Block Development Officers of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. The courtesy visit program was held in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Raj Bhavan, where Governor’s Additional Chief Secretary Shri K.C. Gupta was also present.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the lessons learned in training and the work experiences of senior officers should be used to solve the challenges of administrative life. He said that whenever you go on field visits, interact with the public with warmth, listen to their problems politely and resolve them with priority. Basic needs of the common people such as food, clothing, shelter along with water and health-related problems should be resolved immediately.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that in the past years, the welfare programs of the central and state government have paved the way for the development of Madhya Pradesh. Now development is visible even in remote areas. The primary responsibility of officials is to make successful the government’s goal of improving the lives of the poor, deprived and needy. It is your utmost duty to deliver the government’s welfare schemes and programs to the last person in remote areas.
