Provision of ₹3000 Crore, More Than the Previous Budget, for the Improvement of School Education: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the education, healthcare, and nutrition of every child are the government's top priorities. It must be ensured that every school in the state has basic facilities available. He mentioned that for the improvement of school education, a budget provision of ₹3000 crore more than the previous year has been made. The government is committed to strengthening the education system by implementing all necessary reforms.

The Chief Minister was addressing a review meeting of the School Education Department at Samatva Bhavan (CM Residence). He directed department officials to ensure electricity, fans, clean and cool drinking water, and separate toilets for boys and girls in every government school during the summer season. No school should be in a dilapidated condition. Students should be provided with a conducive and encouraging learning environment so that they come to school happily. He also emphasized the appointment of female officers in girls' hostels and the proper management of mid-day meals in schools.

Dr. Yadav highlighted that revolutionary innovations like Sandipani Schools (CM Rise Schools) have been introduced to improve the education system in line with modern needs. These schools should be developed as model institutions in the country with all necessary preparations and efforts. He instructed officials to strictly implement the New Education Policy 2020 and study models from other states to prepare an action plan.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing infrastructure and facilities in schools to elevate the state’s education system. He suggested utilizing the contributions of former MPs, ex-MLAs, social organizations, alumni, and CSR funds for the repair of dilapidated school buildings. Those who assist in financial or structural improvements in schools will be honored by the government. He also directed officials to collect assembly-wise data on deteriorating school buildings so that MLA funds could be utilized for their development.

Dr. Yadav instructed that the annual results of class 10th and 12th board exams of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education should be declared on time. It was stated that the board is preparing to announce the results in the first week of May 2025.a
