New Delhi, Mar 21 (Reporter) Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday termed the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as "completely wrong and unconstitutional".
On her social media handle X, Priyanka said, "Lowering the level of politics in this manner suits neither the Prime Minister nor his government".
"Fight your critics in the electoral battle, confront them boldly, and of course attack their policies and working style - this is democracy," Vadra said.
She further said that using power of all the institutions of the country to fulfill one's political objective and weakening them by exerting pressure is against the principle of democracy.
She also attacked the government over the freezing of the bank accounts of the Congress party.
The Congress leader also alleged that all political parties and their leaders are under pressure from ED, CBI, IT. Adding that "One Chief Minister is also in jail".
Terming it as 'shameful', Vadra said that such a scene is being seen for the first time in the history of independent India.
