Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the newly constructed Rewa Airport from Banaras, marking Rewa as the sixth airport in the state. In his address, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the accelerated pace of development in the country, which is now progressing three times faster than before. He noted that within just 125 days of the new government's formation, work has commenced on schemes and projects exceeding Rs 15 lakh crore in value, with the majority of the budget dedicated to benefiting the poor, farmers and youth. A massive campaign is underway to build infrastructure across the country, including highways, new train routes and new airports. This effort is not merely about constructing with bricks, stones and iron but about enhancing convenience for citizens and creating job opportunities for the youth. The number of airports in India has more than doubled, growing from just 70 in 2014 to over 150 today and many old airports are also being renovated.
