Chandigarh, Aug 21 (Reporter) President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday highlighted the pivotal role of educational institutions like JC Bose University of Science and Technology in addressing the challenges and leveraging the opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
She was addressing the 5th convocation of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA
in Faridabad, Haryana.
The convocation was presided over by Governor of Haryana and Chancellor of the University, Bandaru Dattatraya. Vice Chancellor Sushil Kumar Tomar was also present. The President conferred 13 PhD degrees and awarded 2 medals and certificates to the students in the presence of the Governor.
She underscored the importance of making the alumni association's contribution strong and effective. She noted that educational institutions must play a leading role in research and innovation to navigate the technological advancements of the fourth industrial revolution.
A total of 1536 students and researchers who completed their degrees in 2023 were conferred degrees, including 998 graduates, 525 postgraduates, and 13 PhDs. Among the recipients, there were 874 boys and 662 girls. Two meritorious girl students were awarded Gold medals...////...
