Hyderabad, May 18 (Reporter) President Droupadi Murmu condoled the loss of lives in the fire accident that broke out at a building in Gulzar Houz near the Historic Charminar on Sunday morning. A total of 17 people, including eight children, died in the horrific blaze. On ‘X’, the President said “ The death of several people, including women and children, in a fire accident in Hyderabad is deeply distressing. My thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.” Telangana Cabinet Ministers, senior officials, and Miss World 2025 contestants observed a moment of silence at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat to pay tribute to the victims of the fire tragedy near Gulzar Houz in Hyderabad. A firefighter, who became unwell while dousing fire, has been admitted to a hospital, according to Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka informed the media.
