Bengaluru, May 25 (Reporter) Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurapa on Saturday accused the Congress party of inciting violence and attacking police personnel in Channagiri following a custodial death.
He claimed that the Congress party's appeasement of the Muslim vote bank is pushing the state towards anarchy.
Vijayendra called for immediate intervention from the Governor to address the deteriorating law and order situation. The State BJP President asserted that criminals and disruptive forces are exploiting minority rights to justify attacks on police stations, holding the Congress government directly responsible for the chaos.
Highlighting potential terrorist involvement, Vijayendra pointed to recent arrests linked to the Bengaluru cafe blast case. He criticised the current state of security, stating that police officers are unable to perform their duties impartially, leading to an environment where terrorists and mafias thrive.
Citing incidents in DJ Halli, Udupi, and now Channagiri, Vijayendra warned of a systematic effort to destabilise the police force. He compared the situation to Bihar under former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, claiming that Karnataka is becoming a land of insecurity and violence under Congress rule.
He urged the Congress to openly declare their allegiance to fundamentalist minorities if that is their stance, warning that the current trajectory is alarming citizens. He concluded by criticizing the weakening of the police system and expressing concern for the state's future...////...
