Srinagar, Jan 18 ( UNI) Police on Thrusday attached the property of militant associate in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Police along with concerned executive magistrate attached the residential property belonging to Abdul Salam Rather at Tangpawa Kokernag in Anantnag during the investigation of a case registered under sections 307 IPC, 7/25 I A Act, 16,18,19,20,23,38,39 UA (P) Act of Police Station Kokernag of 2022. Police said during the investigation of the case, it had surfaced that Zahoor Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Salam Rather was working as militant associate/ overground worker. He was providing food, shelter and other logistic support to militants now slain -Asif Reshi alias Khubaib of Sheikhpora Marhama and Wakeel Ahmad Bhat alias Talha Nai Basti Marhama- at his residential house. "This act falls within ambit of proceeds of terrorism under section 2(g) r/w section 25 of UA(P) Act 1967. Confirmation of attachment of property was sanctioned by competent authority."
