Police attach properties of terrorist, militant associate under UAPA in J&K Shopian

Srinagar, Dec 5 (Reporter) Police have attached two residential houses of a terrorist and a militant associate under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in Jammu and Kashmir Shopian district. Police on Thursday said in a significant move to counter terrorism, Police in Shopian has taken strict action by attaching two double-storied residential properties under Section 25 of UAPA 1967. The residential houses are registered in the names of Mohammad Shafi Dar father of terrorist Adnan Shafi Dar, resident of Wandina, on land measuring 4 marlas (Khasra No. 14) situated at village wandina and Abdul Majeed Koka father-in-law of terrorist associate Sajad Ahmad Khah resident of Melhoura, on land measuring 7 Marlas (Khasra No. 1347/ min) situated at village Melhoora. Both the properties are valued Rs. 50 lakhs, Police said. “The relevant entries have been made in revenue records by the authorities and notice for the sale and transfer of the attached properties has been duly served under the provisions of the UA(P) Act”, police said. “The attachment is linked to Case FIR No. 94/2024 of Police Station Zainapora and was executed in the presence of a duly constituted Police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring full compliance with legal protocols”, they said. “This action represents a significant milestone in the ongoing investigation into unlawful and subversive activities in the region”, police added...////...
