Pune, May 2 (Reporter) Pune police have arrested a 25-year-old man for sending obscene messages to state Environment Minister and BJP leader Pankaja Munde.
The accused, identified as Amol Kale, was arrested from Bhosari areas.
He confessed that he had called and sent messages to Pankaja Munde.
Police said the accused called Munde repeatedly for the past few days and made objectionable remarks. At the same time, he was also harassing her by sending obscene messages.
Nikhil Bhamre, Social Media Coordinator at the state office, filed a complaint with the police in this regard.
Bhamre filed a complaint with the Mumbai Nodal Cyber Police and drew the attention of the police to this incident.
The police registered a case under sections 78 and 79 of the Indian Penal Code.
While searching for the accused, it was revealed that he was from Pune. After that, the police arrested him from Pune.
