Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that while the Maha Kumbh is taking place in Prayagraj, Bhopal is starting its own "Ardh Kumbh" in Water Sports. He emphasized that while the police are fulfilling their duties of ensuring citizen safety and maintaining law and order, they are also leaving their mark in the world of sports. Many police personnel have proven their talent in various sports at both national and international levels, bringing pride to the nation. The hosting of this All India competition at the historic Upper Lake of Bhopal, built by Raja Bhoj, is a moment of pride for both the state and the capital city. The event will boost people's interest in water sports. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 24th All India Police Water Sports Competition. Upon his arrival at the Water Sports Center at the Upper Lake, the police band greeted the Chief Minister. He met with the team managers from various states and police units that had arrived in Bhopal. Dr. Yadav inaugurated the competition by releasing tricolor balloons into the open sky. The competing teams performed a march-past and a row-past in front of the Chief Minister. Dr. Yadav also released a commemorative booklet. The participating teams were sworn in, and the Chief Minister was presented with a memento of the All India event by the Director General of Police, Shri Kailash Makwana. Throughout the event, the police band played patriotic songs. The Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Shri J. N. Konsotia and senior police officers were also present.
