Mumbai, July 12 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mumbai on July 13 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various projects related to the road, railway, and port sectors worth over Rs 29,440 crore, official sources said on Friday. According a press statement, the Prime Minister will arrive at the Nesco Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai around 5-30 p.m. and inaugurate, publicise, and lay the foundation stones of various projects related to the road, railway, and port sectors worth over Rs 29,400 crore. Thereafter, at around 7 p.m., the Prime Minister will inaugurate INS Towers at G-Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Rs 16,600 crore Thane-Borivali Tunnel Project. Between Thane and Borivali, this double-tube tunnel will pass under Sanjay Gandhi National Park to create a direct link between the Western Expressway towards Borivali and the Thane Ghodbunder Road from Thane. The total length of the project is 11.8 km. This will shorten the journey from Thane to Borivali by 12 km and save about 1 hour in travel time. After that, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Rs 6300 crore worth tunnel work of the Goregaon Mulund Link Road project. The idea of the Goregaon-Mulund Link Road Project is to connect the road between the Western Expressway at Goregaon to Eastern Expressway at Mulund. The total length of the Goregaon Mulund Link Road project is approximately 6.65 kilometres and will provide direct connectivity to the western suburbs with the new proposed airport at Navi Mumbai and the Pune Mumbai Motorway. Modi will also inaugurate the INS tower, the Chief Minister Youth Training Scheme, the new platform at Lokmanya Tilak terminus, and attend the groundbreaking ceremony of multimodel cargo at Turbe, the statement added...////...
