PM takes out grand roadshow in Kashi, offers prayers at Baba Vishwanath

Varanasi, May 13 (Reporter) Prime Minister and local MP Narendra Modi held a grand road show in Varanasi in which a large number of people participated and welcomed their MP by showering rose petals. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Bhupendra Chaudhary accompanied PM Modi during the roadshow which started from the Singh Gate of Banaras Kashi Hindu University. The PM started his roadshow by garlanding the statue Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. Standing on top of an open Rath, Modi greeted the people standing on both sides of the road by waving hands. The public also warmly welcomed the Prime Minister by raising slogans of Har Har Modi. The road show of about five kilometers ended at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple where he offered prayers at Baba Vishwanath Temple and sought blessings for his victory. Cutouts of the personalities of Kashi were installed on the route of the road show. It may be noted that Modi had won the Lok Sabha elections from Kashi for the first time in 2014, whereas in 2019 also he had won with an overwhelming majority. A road map for the five-year development journey of Kashi has been prepared in Modi's road show. About 100 points were made, on which people from Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Maheshwari, Marwari, Tamil and Punjabi communities welcomed the PM Narendra Modi in their traditional attire. Flower petals were showered at these points and drums were played. The people of Kashi welcomed PM Modi with Shehnai, Shankhnaad and Damru Dal. Along with this, cultural programs at various places, artists from Banaras singing folk dances and folk songs and chanting Vedic mantras also welcomed the PM. Members of Muslim community came forward to welcome Modi. In Madanpura, members of Muslim community showered flower petals on the PM. After the road show, the PM visited Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and sought blessings from Baba for the historic victory of BJP. A programme of meeting with intellectuals is also proposed at BLW in the night. The PM will file his nomination on Tuesday after seeking blessings of Kashi Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav and taking his permission. Apart from BJP's constituent Rashtriya Lok Dal President Jayant Chaudhary and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, CMs, ministers and prominent people of many states are likely to be included in the nomination...////...
