Bangkok/New Delhi, Apr 4 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a productive meeting with Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok today, during which they discussed different aspects of the India-Nepal friendship, especially in sectors like energy, connectivity, culture and digital technology. PM Modi said in a post on X that India attaches immense priority to its ties with Nepal. “Had a productive meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Bangkok. “India attaches immense priority to relations with Nepal. “We discussed different aspects of India-Nepal friendship, especially in sectors like energy, connectivity, culture and digital technology. “We also talked about some of the key positive outcomes from this year’s BIMSTEC Summit, especially in areas of disaster management and maritime transport.” The MEA spokesperson posted: “A friendship based on a solid foundation of historical & civilizational ties. “PM @narendramodi met with PM @kpsharmaoli of Nepal in Bangkok today. “Discussions focused on enhancing the mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation especially in the areas of development partnership, energy, people-to-people ties, and connectivity. “India looks forward to adding even greater momentum to its bilateral ties with Nepal.” A statement said: “The two leaders reviewed the unique and close relationship between India and Nepal. They expressed satisfaction at the progress in enhancing physical and digital connectivity, people-to-people linkages, and in the domain of energy. “They agreed to continue working towards further deepening the multifaceted partnership between our two countries and peoples. “Nepal is a priority partner of India under its Neighbourhood First Policy.
