New Delhi, Oct 7 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu on Monday held bilateral talks, with several agreements expected to be inked. The MEA spokesperson in a post on X said: “Taking forward India-Maldives special ties! PM @narendramodi warmly received President @MMuizzu of Maldives as the latter arrived at Hyderabad House. “Extensive discussions on India-Maldives bilateral relations lie ahead.” Earlier, Maldives President Muizzu was on Monday accorded a ceremonial welcome and a Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Maldives President, who arrived on Sunday afternoon, is on a five day state visit to India at the head of a high-level delegation.
