PM Modi conveys full support for Astana SCO summit to Kazakh President

New Delhi, June 25 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with the Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during which he conveyed India's full support for the success of the upcoming SCO Summit in Astana. PM Modi in a post on X said that he thanked the Kazakh President for the warm wishes on the success of the elections. “Had a good conversation with President of Kazakhstan H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Thanked him for warm wishes on the success in the elections. Reiterated the commitment to advance our Strategic Partnership with Kazakhstan. Conveyed India's full support for the success of the upcoming SCO Summit.” An official statement said that President Tokayev warmly congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the successful conduct of the largest democratic exercise in the world and his re-election for the historic third consecutive term. Prime Minister thanked him for his warm felicitations. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to continue to work together to advance the bilateral Strategic Partnership. Prime Minister Modi conveyed India's full support for the success of the upcoming SCO Summit in Astana, and expressed confidence that Kazakhstan’s leadership would greatly contribute to the furtherance of regional cooperation. “The two leaders agreed to remain in touch.” Astana is to host the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit on July 3-4.
