Lucknow, July 26 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is set to become the world's third-largest economy within the next three years.
While addressing 'Rajat Jayanati Samaroh' held at Kargil Smriti Vatika on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the CM said that this milestone signifies a new era of prosperity and a significant step toward achieving self-reliance.
Reflecting on the 1999 Kargil war, he said, "It was a deceitful attack by Pakistan, which was met with a resolute response from Indian soldiers. This victory showcased India's bravery and valour to the world. India remains a peaceful nation committed to democratic values and ideals, which is why it has never attacked any country."
Highlighting the contribution of Uttar Pradesh in building India as a self-reliant nation, Yogi said that work is going on at a fast pace on the 6 nodes of the Defence Corridor in the state. "Here, defence-related companies from India and abroad are setting up manufacturing units, presenting a new example of India's self-reliance in the defence sector," he said.
Before the programme, the CM paid tribute to the martyrs Major Ritesh Sharma, Captain Manoj Pandey, Captain Manoj Mishra, Lance Naik Kevada Nand Dwivedi and Rifleman Sunil Jung by laying wreaths on their statues installed in the Kargil Smriti Vatika and paid homage to their memories...////...
