PM assures support amid stampede-like situation in Maha Kumbh

New Delhi, Jan 29 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over a stampede-like situation in Prayagraj, amid the celebration of the Mauni Amavasya at the Maha Kumbh Mela. As per sources, the PM is constantly monitoring the situation and assured immediate supportive measures to deal with the situation. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke to the chief minister and assured all support to the state government. A few pilgrims were injured in the stampede at around 2 am on Wednesday due to heavy crowd pressure on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya.
