Bengaluru, Feb 24 (Reporter) Ellyse Perry’s blistering unconquered 90 off 57 balls powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women to a formidable 180/6 in their 20 overs against UP Warriorz Women in their Women’s Premier League (WPL) encounter here on Monday. UP Warriorz Women opted to field first, Danielle Wyatt-Hodge provided a solid foundation for RCB, scoring 57 off 41 balls with four boundaries and three sixes before falling to Tahlia McGrath in the 15th over. Perry took charge thereafter, launching an aggressive assault on the UPW bowlers, smashing nine boundaries and three sixes in her innings. Skipper Smriti Mandhana (6) fell early, bowled by Deepti Sharma in the fourth over. Wicketkeeper-batswoman Richa Ghosh contributed with 8 off 6 balls but was caught and bowled by Chinelle Henry. Kanika Ahuja (5) and Georgia Wareham (7) departed in quick succession, while Kim Garth (2) was run out.
