Islamabad, Oct 7 (Reporter) The Pakistan government on Sunday banned the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, which has been critical of the Army, citing threats to national peace and security, media reports said. The ethnic party which advocates for the rights of Pashtun tribe and is critical of the Pakistan Army faced the wrath of the federal government when it was termed "unlawful" under 11 B of the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1977 that resulted in a ban on the organisation. "The federal government has reasons to believe that the PTM is engaged in certain activities prejudicial to peace and security of the country," the Ministry of Interior said, reported by the Dawn.
