Islamabad, Dec 30 (Reporter) At least 10 people lost their lives while 22 were injured in a bus accident on Monday morning when a bus overturned at the Fateh Jhang Interchange on the M-14 Motorway in Punjab’s Attock District, media reports said.

Fatal road accidents on highways occur frequently in Pakistan, with the main reasons including overspeeding, hazardous overtaking, and disregard for traffic rules, the Dawn reported.
In a statement, Rescue 1122 said the vehicle was a Yutong bus going from Mianwali to Rawalpindi.
According to reports, the rescue service received an alert at 8:08 am about an accident, prompting the dispatch of six vehicles and 14 rescuers to the scene.
The bodies and the injured had been shifted to the tehsil headquarters hospitals in Attock, it added.
The “probable cause” reported by Rescue 1122 was overspeeding, according to the Dawn.
