Patna, June 13 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that over Rs 271.15 crore has been transferred to 62,15,104 beneficiaries under various Social Security Pension Schemes.
Nitish on Friday said Rs 271,15,38,900 transferred to beneficiaries through DBT.
It includes Rs. 93.50 crore from the Central Government and Rs. 87.55 crore from the State Government under Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme and Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme.
Giving details he said that Rs 254, 45, 05, 900 was transferred to a total of 61 lakh 29 thousand 548 beneficiaries of five social security pension schemes and an amount of Rs 16, 70, 33 000 was transferred to 85,556 beneficiaries of Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana.
Kumar said that the centre was extending full support in execution of social security pension schemes. He asked the authorities to aware the people about various social security pension schemes.
Social Welfare Department Secretary Vandana Prayasi, Social Security Directorate Director Ranjita and ICDS Director Amit Kumar Pandey apprised the Chief Minister with the progress of the on going schemes.
They informed that in the financial year 2005-06, 12 lakh 25 thousand 106 beneficiaries were being given the benefit of social security pension schemes, whereas in the financial year 2024-25, 1 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 255 beneficiaries were being given the benefit of social security pension scheme. In the financial year 2005-06, an amount of Rs 9834.32 lakh was spent on social security pension schemes, whereas in the financial year 2024-25, an amount of Rs 524167.02 lakh is being spent...////...
