Over 50k Bihar youths from backward communities deprived of jobs: Tejaswi

Patna, Feb. 26 (Reporter) Leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav on Wednesday accused the Narendra Modi government of depriving 50,000 youths from the scheduled caste, schedule tribe, backward and extremely backward communities of government jobs in the state, by "deliberately" not including the increased reservation quota of 65% in the Ninth Schedule. Yadav said during the short 17-month rule of the Grand Alliance in the state from August 2022 to January 2024 when his Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) was part of the government, the job reservation quota for scheduled caste, schedule tribe, backward and extremely backward community aspirants was raised from 49% to 65%. Yadav was the Deputy CM in that dispensation headed by Chief minister Nitish Kumar, the JD(U) supremo. Congress was also part of the coalition. Training his gun on the NDA government, Yadav alleged that it deliberately did not include the 65% reservation limits in the 9th schedule. Describing BJP as "betrayer" of reservation, he alleged that following non-implementation of the 65% reservation quota limit, the scheduled caste, schedule tribe, backward and extremely backward aspirants experienced a direct loss of 16% reservation in 3 lakh 50000 appointments. In arithmetical term, over 50000 youths from these communities were deprived of government jobs in the latest recruitment because of the BJP's rigidity...////...
