Khartoum, Aug 27 (Reporter) The number of people killed in Sudan due to the ongoing torrential rains and floods has grown to 132, the country's Health Ministry reported on Monday.
Earlier in August, the Sudanese authorities reported about the death of 68 people caused by the natural disaster, adding that victims died from various causes, including house collapses and drowning.
“The death toll reached 132,” the Sudanese health ministry said in a statement.
Strong rains have hit 10 Sudanese regions, among which the Northern State and River Nile State have been affected the most, the authorities added.
Over 12,400 houses were completely destroyed due to the continuing torrential rains, the ministry added...////...
