Liverpool, June 3 (Reporter) The number of people injured after a car crashed into a crowd of fans in Liverpool has risen to 109, Merseyside Police said.
"The number of people reported to have been injured currently stands at 109. Four people remain in hospital being treated for their injuries," the police department said in a statement on Monday.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the police are collecting eyewitness statements, the statement added.
In late May, a car hit a crowd of people celebrating Liverpool's victory in the English Premier League. The driver of the car was a 53-year-old British man, who was later detained. Police said that they did not consider the attack an act of terrorism and were treating it as an isolated incident...////...
