Bengaluru, Nov 27 (Reporter) OpenText, a global leader in information management, on Wednesday announced the expansion of its presence in India with a new state-of-the-art facility in Bengaluru.
Located at Embassy Golf Links Road, the 70,000 sq ft centre underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its footprint in the region and supporting its global innovation strategy.
The Bengaluru office has witnessed a staggering 194% growth in employee strength over the past two years, effectively tripling its headcount. This growth aligns with OpenText’s strategic focus on its 3.0 strategy, which emphasises AI-driven innovation and digital transformation to address evolving business needs.
Madhu Ranganathan, President and CFO of OpenText, remarked, “India is OpenText’s biggest centre of innovation globally, and the new facility in Bengaluru further solidifies our presence here. Our growing team in India is vital to OpenText’s next phase of innovation.”
OpenText India continues to play a pivotal role in driving advancements across key domains, including AI, cybersecurity, DevOps, and business clouds. The company has over 6,000 engineers and service staff across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, contributing significantly to its global operations.

Over the past decade, OpenText has made substantial investments in India through apprenticeship and upskilling initiatives. The Bengaluru centre hosts key business units such as engineering, professional services, IT, finance, and cloud operations, which have all seen significant growth.
