One dies after being hit by shooting stone in Kinnaur

Shimla, Mar 4 (Reporter) Inclement weather took a life when a person was hit by a shooting stone in Kinnaur district Saturday morning, the state disaster management authority confirmed in a press statement issued on Monday. An incident of shooting stones occurred near Singular Sector 26 Tehsil Nichar, hitting one person who belonged to Kullu district. The deceased is identified as 27-year-old Madan. The district administration is restoring the Old Hindustan Tibet National Highway at Nigulsari. In the last 24 hours, the state also recorded half a dozen avalanches in the Kinnaur and Kullu districts, and a warning has been issued of more avalanches as six to seven-foot piles of snow mounted in the avalanche-prone areas may loom similar incidents in the mainly sunny weather on Monday.
