Srinagar, May 14 (Reporter) The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GoC-in-C) Northern Command Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Wednesday briefed J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on latest developments and different aspects pertaining to the prevailing security scenario. The Northern Commander called on Lieutenant Governor Sinha in Srinagar today. “General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GoC-in-C) Northern Command Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Wednesday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and briefed him on latest developments and different aspects pertaining to prevailing security scenario. He was accompanied by Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, GoC 15 Corps,” an official spokesman said. Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma assumed charge as GoC in-C of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command earlier this month. The tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on May 7 when the Indian military carried out strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
