Chandigarh, Nov 18 (Reporter) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini once again clarified that there is no shortage of DAP fertilizer and sufficient stock is available in the state.
Replying to a calling attention motion brought in the Vidhan Sabha on Monday regarding the availability of DAP fertilizer, he said the data regarding the availability of DAP at each Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) in the state is available with the government and if any member requires information on this, it will be provided.
Saini said that there is no shortage of DAP fertilizer in the state.
"Being a farmer's son, I deeply understand the challenges farmers face regarding the availability of DAP fertilizer. For the month of November, a total of 1,10,200 metric tons of DAP Fertilizer has been allocated,”
the CM said.
In response to a question about the availability of DAP fertilizr stock in Sirsa, he informed the house that on October 1, the initial stock of DAP fertilizer in Sirsa was 1,063 metric tons (MT), and as of today, November 18, there are 2,217 MT available. Similarly, in the Hisar district, there is still 2,087 MT of DAP fertilizer available. About 216 MT of DAP more than the previous year has already been provided to the farmers, he said.
Saini said farmers are misled intentionally by opposition by spreading rumours that there is shortage of DAP Fertilizer in the state...////...
