Patna, Mar 6 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar assured the CPIML legislators to take cognizance of their issues in support of which they were agitating in the state assembly on Thursday.
Soon after the House assembled for the day and the Speaker Nand Kishor Yadav took the question hour proceedings, the CPIML members including Mehboob Alam and Satyadev Ram tried to draw the attention of the speaker towards the issues of the sweepers.
They trooped to the well waving posters and banners, shouting slogans and demanding an increase in their wages . The Speaker later ordered the marshal to take away the posters and banners from the members.
The question hour proceedings however continued amid noise.
Intervening in the situation, Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary said that cognizance of any issue would be taken only if raised according to the laid rules and regulations of the house.
The members however continue to shout slogans against the government in support of their demands.
To this, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar asked them to give their demands in writing so that he can take the cognizance.
Following the assurance of Kumar, the CPIML members resumed their seats.
Earlier at one point of time, the Speaker in a humorous tone on the protest of the Left parties, told MLA Mehboob Alam that if your name was "Mehbooba", you would have got triple talaq due to the ruckus you create.
Mehboob Alam is in regular habit of creating noise, speaking loudly from his place, continuously insisting on his issues and entering into the well.
"Mahboob and Mahbooba" word echoed several times in humorous tone during the pre lunch sitting in the lower house...////...
