Patna/ Jamui, Feb 7 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar initiated 74 projects worth over Rs 890 crore for the development of Jamui district.
During the fourth phase of his Pragati Yatra, Kumar visited Jamui district on Friday where he inaugurated 58 projects worth Rs 7640.52698 lakh and laid the foundation stones of 16 projects worth Rs 81447.50076 lakh.
After reviewing the progress of the ongoing projects, Kumar announced for an expansion of the upper Quil water body scheme, the development of Garhi dam as an Eco-Tourist spot, the construction of a bridge on river Quil and river Nakti, the reconstruction of Giddhaur stadium, development of Patneshwar Dham as a tourist spot, the revival of Barnar water body, establishment of a Degree college in Chakai and construction of a sports complex near Jamui town.
The chief minister reviewed the ongoing schemes and directed the authorities to complete them within the stipulated period.
He also distributed cheques as a token among the beneficiaries of various schemes...////...
