Patna, Jan 17 (Reporter) Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi asked the Nitish government to explain the reason for ignoring caste survey data in the small industry scheme.
Modi said here on Wednesday whether the government considers more than 82 lakh families with Rs 6 to 10 thousand monthly income as rich. Of these families, more than 32 lakh belong to two extremely backward classes. He asked the government to explain why lakhs of families were deprived of the benefits of Rs two lakh under the Bihar small industry scheme. The BJP MP also asked the government to explain why separate schemes were not prepared for extremely backward SC and ST development based on the data.
Referring to the survey, he also asked to reveal the scheme prepared for the development of more than 50 lakh families with Rs 10 to Rs 20000 in monthly income.
Modi alleged the government neither published the data of landless families found in the caste survey nor prepared any scheme to provide them agricultural land, whereas, at the time of conducting the caste survey, it was assured to prepare schemes for every class based on the survey data...////...
