Patna, Oct 26 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the authorities to ensure proper arrangements at Ghats for the convenience of the devotees during the Chhath festival.
After inspecting various Ghats on the bank of river Ganga in Patna on Saturday, Kumar asked the authorities to ensure safety and security along with the cleanliness of the Ghats for the most auspicious Chhath festival.
Almost all Ghats that were inundated due to flood water in the river Ganga, were facing the problem of silt and garbage.
The Chief Minister directed to repair of the Ghats and made proper arrangements for safety and security given the high current of river water. He asked to set up systems for providing proper information to the devotees visiting Ghats for the festival. Special focus should be on the traffic arrangement, the CM said, and asked to set up lavatories at the Ghats for the visitors.
Later Kumar told news persons that he would visit various Ghats before Chhath festival to review the arrangements...////...
