Pune, Feb 21 (Reporter) Night temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over coastal Karnataka; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over east Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra, Bihar; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and Mahe; at isolated places over west Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka. These were appreciably below normal (-5.0°C to -3.1°C) at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand and below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and near normal over rest parts of the country. On Friday, the lowest minimum temperature of 6.1°C is reported at Amritsar (Punjab) over the plains of the country. Hailstorm recorded (from 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh. north Chhattisgarh and north interior Odisha. Dense fog (visibility 50-199 m) was reported in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan. Visibility reported (≤200 m) (in meter): Himachal Pradesh: Sundernagar 150; Punjab: Faridkot, Bathinda 100, east Rajasthan: Pilani. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh and at many places in Uttarakhand and Punjab and at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
