NIA Team visits Pahalgam terror attack victim Prashant’s house in Odisha’s Ishani village

Bhubaneswar, Apr 26 (Reporter) A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team arrived on Saturday at Ishani village in Odisha’s Balasore district to collect first hand information from the spouse of Prashant Satpathy, who was gunned down in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Prashant was among 26 tourists brutally killed in the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. The NIA team spoke with Prashant’s wife and son, who were with him when the terrorists shot him dead. They collected information and eyewitness accounts from both the widow and their nine-year-old son. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who attended Prashant’s last rites on Thursday, announced financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh for the deceased’s family, a government job for Prashant Satpathy’s widow, and assured full support for the education of their nine-year-old son. Prashant, who was working as an accountant at the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) in Bampada, was on a holiday trip to Jammu & Kashmir with his wife and son when the tragic incident occurred.
