Srinagar, Oct 16 (Reporter) Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Wednesday said there are many challenges for the new government as a vacuum of issues has emerged during the past ten years in the Union Territory.
Choudhary made these revelations while talking to media persons soon after administering the oath of office as Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir during a ceremony at SKICC in Srinagar today.
“There are many challenges as a vacuum of issues has emerged during the past ten years. But we hope our leadership will overcome all challenges”, he said.
The Deputy CM won the election from the Nowshera assembly constituency and defeated Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu and Kashmir President Ravinder Raina impressively.
“My leaders have put a heavy responsibility on me by appointing me as the Deputy Chief Minister and there are so many issues which have not been addressed during the past ten years and to fulfil them in just five years is a very difficult task”, Choudhary said.
He said this is for the first time in 75 years of politics that Pirpanjal range of Jammu region got the Deputy Chief Minister post and this is an honour for the people of Nowshera who voted for me and for the whole Jammu region.
“We believe in the leadership of Omar Abdullah and we will follow his instructions so that the issues of people of Jammu and Kashmir could be redressed”, the Deputy CM asserted.
Choudhary said “I am thankful to the Party President Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah for giving me such a responsibility and will prove my ability”...////...
