Kathmandu, Sep 25 (Reporter) Nepal Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba has appealed to the world community to help ensure the safe release of Bipin Joshi, a student from Nepal who has been held captive by Hamas since October 7 last year, The Kathmandu Post said.
Speaking at the Non-Aligned Movement's (NAM) Ministerial Meeting on Monday, Minister Rana called attention to Joshi's predicament and requested international collaboration in order to secure his release.
The foreign minister, who was in New York to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly, she said that
Nepal is anxiously expecting Joshi's homecoming, according to Minister Rana's staff.
On October 7, 2021, Joshi was kidnapped during an assault by Hamas against Israel. The armed assault claimed the lives of 10 Nepali students.
According to Minister Rana, the administration has repeatedly demanded Joshi's safe release and denounced the attack.
She emphasised the necessity of international cooperation in bringing about peace, noting that violent conflicts, uprisings, and other acts of violence continue under different covers in many regions of the world...////...
