Nepal N-Day celebrates in SAU

New Delhi, Sep 19 (Reporter) Nepal's National Day was celebrated by students from across South Asia at the South Asian University (SAU) here on Thursday. Charge d’ affaires of the Nepalese Embassy in India Dr. Surendra Kumar Thapa participated as the chief guest in the Nepal National Day celebrations organised on a large scale for the first time in SAU. South Asian University President and country's renowned educationist Professor KK Aggarwal inaugurated the programme. Thapa hoisted the flag. Speaking at the programme, Thapa said South Asian universities are playing crucial roles in strengthening educational and cultural relations among countries of the region through education. Professor Aggarwal said South Asian University shows unity in diversity because of the students and faculty from SAARC countries. He underlined how the purpose of education goes beyond the confines of the classroom teaching-learning process.
