Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed that ongoing development projects in Naxal-affected areas of Madhya Pradesh be regularly reviewed. He emphasized that strict monitoring and evaluation should continue at the district, police headquarters, and state government levels to curb Naxal activities effectively. On Thursday, CM Dr. Yadav chaired a meeting at his residence to review the Naxal eradication campaign and issued necessary instructions to senior officials.
CM Dr. Yadav highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to eliminate Naxalism entirely by 2026, stating that Madhya Pradesh will play an active role in this mission. He stated that the construction of roads, expansion of telecommunication facilities and deployment of security personnel in affected areas have yielded positive results in controlling Naxal elements. He instructed that development projects continue without interruption and that modern equipment be used for surveillance to intensify efforts against Naxal activities. He reiterated that Naxalism will not be allowed to take root in Madhya Pradesh under any circumstances, and the state will take the strictest possible actions for its complete eradication.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Union Home Minister recently held discussions with Naxal-affected states to ensure the effective implementation of PM Modi’s vision for a Naxal-free India by 2026. In line with this mission, Madhya Pradesh will take decisive steps to eliminate Naxalism completely. He also instructed Special DG Pankaj Srivastava to conduct fortnightly reviews of the anti-Naxal campaign.
