Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the entire nation is proud of the indomitable courage, valour, and heroism of the Indian Army. A grand Tiranga Yatra was organised in Ujjain on Friday to express gratitude for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor against terrorists. The yatra commenced from Shaheed Park, where Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid floral tributes at the Jai Stambh and flagged off the march on horseback.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Indian Army entered Pakistani territory and avenged the loss of our brave soldiers. Operation Sindoor has sent a strong message to the world of India’s unwavering military might and national unity. "No matter how cunning the enemy may be, our unity remains unbreakable. National unity is paramount, and any attempt to harm it will be met with a strong response," Dr. Yadav stated.

He recalled Ujjain’s historic legacy, calling it the land of Lord Mahakal and of Samrat Vikramaditya, who, over 2000 years ago, repelled foreign invaders with courage. “Today, our forces have displayed the same spirit of valour and heroism,” he added.

Dr. Yadav paid homage to the families of martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation, saying, "The Tricolour is our pride and identity—we must always honour it. These Tiranga Yatras are sending a global message that Indians are united and prepared to sacrifice everything for the nation's security."

The grand yatra witnessed participation from families of martyrs, ex-servicemen, Rajya Sabha MP Balayogi Shri Umeshnath Maharaj, MP Shri Anil Firozia, Minister-in-Charge Shri Gautam Tetwal, MLAs Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda and Shri Satish Malviya, Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Council Chairperson Smt. Kalavati Yadav, former Union Minister Shri Satyanarayan Jatia, and several dignitaries, community leaders, and social organizations of the city.

The Tiranga Yatra began from Shaheed Park and passed through prominent city locations including Chamunda Mata Chauraha, Dewas Gate, Malipura, and Daulatganj before culminating at Fawwara Chowk. Families of martyrs led the procession in decorated carriages. The march featured performances by police and community bands, including from the Bohra community, and was enriched by patriotic music and cultural presentations. Citizens from all faiths participated enthusiastically, affirming the spirit of national unity.

At multiple points along the route, floral showers and welcome platforms were set up to honour the participants and the cause. The yatra was a heartfelt tribute to the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in defence of the nation.
