NASA, SpaceX launch resupply mission to space station

Los Angeles, Apr 22 (Reporter) NASA and SpaceX launched a new commercial resupply services mission to the International Space Station (ISS)on Monday. A SpaceX Dragon spacecraft lifted off at 4:15 a.m. Eastern Time from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in the southeastern U.S. state of Florida. It is scheduled to autonomously dock with the ISS on Tuesday at about 8:20 a.m. Eastern Time. This mission will deliver a wide range of scientific research and technology demonstrations to the orbiting laboratory. Aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft are experiments focused on vision-based navigation, spacecraft air quality, materials for drug and product manufacturing, and advancing plant growth with less reliance on photosynthesis, according to NASA.
