Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Sondwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project will play a pivotal role in enhancing irrigation facilities in the region, ensuring farmers have adequate water for their crops. He emphasized that the diamond cutting and polishing work in Chhaktala will create employment opportunities for local youth, reducing migration to other areas in search of jobs. He also announced that Narmada water will soon reach 169 villages in the Sondwa region. The Chief Minister made these remarks during the *Bhoomi Pujan* ceremony of the Sondwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project, valued at Rs.1,732.45 crore, at Chhaktala in Alirajpur district. On the occasion, he approved several development initiatives, including the upgradation of Girls Higher Secondary School and Mathwad High School to Higher Secondary School, as well as the construction of 13 new roads connecting Katthiwada to Sondwa.
