Musk has reportedly sought information about the possibility of building support for alternative UK political movements, particularly the right-wing Reform UK party, to "force a change" of prime minister before the next election, which is not due before 2029. On January 3, Musk accused Starmer of being complicit in the grooming gangs scandal in the UK, pointing out that Starmer was the head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008-2013, when gang rapes were happening.
