Mumbai on alert; police get email threat warning of blast

Mumbai, May 13 (Reporter) The Maharashtra Police Control Room on Tuesday received an anonymous email warning of an explosion within the next 48 hours. The sender did not specify the location or the time, police said, adding security has been tightened in the metropolis. An investigation was ongoing, and the authorities were working to find the sender and have urged citizens to remain calm but vigilant, and report any suspicious activity immediately to the authorities. This occurs amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror assault. On Monday Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a high-level meeting with armed forces.
