Kolkata, Feb 5 (Reporter) The stage for Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) is set to start shortly with the arrival of the investors, including business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, and foreign delegates on Wednesday.
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said the much awaited BGBS is having preludes in the special meeting of the National Executive Committees of the Apex Chambers of Commerce and Industry, CII and FICCI.
"I joined them briefly to encourage investments in West Bengal from our national industry magnets as Bengal the destination." Banerjee said.
About 20 ambassadors and High Commissioners are assembling to represent their countries, while the Indian tycoons are coming en bloc often assisted by their chambers CIL, FICCI and ICC.
Nearly 5000 delegates and representatives from some 40 countries and Ambassadors and High Commissioners will take part in the two-day summit the state is expected to woo investments as Bengal is the only destination, said an official.
A preliminary list of prominent guests expected are Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, business tycoons like Mukesh Ambani, Sajjan Jindal, Sanjeev Puri, and Jyotsna Suri, besides home grown industrialists...////...
