Monsoon remains subdued in HP: Met

Shimla, July 3 (Reporter) Almost a week after reaching Himachal Pradesh, South West Monsoon continues to be subdued in the state with only a few places recorded rainfall in the past 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department said on Wednesday. The impact of Monsoon and a cyclonic circulation would continue to remain confined to a few places over the next two days and from July 5 the state is likely to receive widespread rain, the Met office said. The minimum temperature in Capital Shimla was 17.6 degrees Celsius, it said. Minimum temperature recorded on Wednesday in Kufri was 15.7 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar airport 22.5 degrees Celsius, Jubbarhatti 19 degrees Celsius, Dharmshala 21.4 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 17 degrees Celsius, Manali 20 degrees Celsius, Kangra 22.8 degrees Celsius, Una and Mandi 23 degrees Celsius, Bilaspur and Hamirpur 25.7 degrees Celsius and Chamba 24.5 degrees Celsius. The Met office said a Yellow warning has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning at isolated places for the Sirmaur, Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Mandi, Shimla and Hamirpur.
