New Delhi, July 12 (Reporter) The Congress on Friday flayed the Centre's decision to observe June 25 as 'Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas' saying that in the last 10 years, the Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi had celebrated "Constitution Murder Day" everyday. Taking to social media handle X, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge while replying to PM Modi said, "You have snatched away self respect of every poor and deprived section of the country every moment". The Senior Congress leader while mentioning several incidents including the Manipur violence, atrocities on Dalits, minorities asked the government whether such incidents were not "murder of the Constitution?" "Modi ji, you don't like talking about the Constitution. BJP-RSS-Jansangh never accepted the Constitution. Is it not true that RSS mouthpiece Organiser had written in its editorial in November 30, 1949 issue that - "The worst thing about this new Constitution of India is that there is nothing Indian in it" and here, did RSS not clearly stand against the main architect of the Indian Constitution i.e Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar ji and in support of Manusmriti?" He also said, "When you arbitrarily implemented demonetisation, crushed an institution like the RBI, killing 120 people by making them stand in queues in banks and mocked the common people by clapping and saying "there is a wedding at home, but no money"... then what is that if not murder of the Constitution?" The Rajya Sabha MP asked whether it was not murder of Constitution when the government did not provide buses and trains to lakhs of labourers during the the Covid pandemic and forcing them to reach their destinations walking hundreds of kilometers. He also accused the NDA government of using ED, CBI, IT to file cases against 95 percent Opposition leaders, besides toppling elected governments saying that this too was murder of the Constitution. The Congress President also mentioned about Electoral Bond Scheme, suspension of 146 Opposition members from the Parliament, bringing in three black farm laws and using tear gas and rubber bullets on protesting farmers, making most of the media sycophants and asked whether these were not murder of the Constitution. "Mr. Modi, BJP-RSS wants to abolish the Constitution and implement Manusmriti, so that the rights of the Dalits, triblas and backward classes can be attacked. That is why you are insulting Babasahed Dr Ambedkar by adding the word "murder" to the sacred "Constitution", Kharge said. The Government today announced through a Gazette notification that June 25 will be observed as 'Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas'...////...
