Aizawl, Oct 16 (Reporter) Sixteen nurses from Mizoram are already employed in Japan, and over 40 candidates are currently undergoing Japanese language training, according to Angela Zothanpuii, Director of the state's Labour Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (LSEDE) Department.
Zothanpuii made this announcement during the "Awareness Seminar on Caregiver Programme in Japan," organised by the LSEDE in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation International (NSDCI).
The seminar highlighted the growing demand for caregivers in Japan.
Jin Enamoto, Manager of New Business Development in Asia Pacific, and Kazunari Honda, Senior Leader of Global Strategy from Sompo Care Inc. Japan, outlined the opportunities for Indian professionals in Japan’s caregiving sector. They also discussed the necessary qualifications and the support available for those pursuing a career in this field.
Zothanpuii noted that more than 40 candidates are currently undergoing Japanese language training at the NSDCI centre in Delhi. She had personally visited the training centre and inspected the accommodation facilities provided. The NSDCI offers comprehensive training, ensuring candidates meet the requirements to work in Japan.
Sunny Kumar, NSDCI Manager, briefed the attendees on the interview and admission processes, the importance of language proficiency, and the availability of skill loans for aspiring candidates. He also assured continued support, with a special emphasis on providing free accommodation for candidates from the northeast region.
The seminar was attended by 50 individuals from B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, ANM, GDA, and Geriatric Caregiver backgrounds...////...
