In the Sarangpur Assembly constituency of Rajgarh district, development works are continuously gaining momentum. Giving priority to interests of farmers, the State Government has decided to connect 26 villages of Sarangpur area with the scheme under the expansion of Mohanpura Irrigation Project. With this decision, farmers of the region will receive direct and permanent benefits from the irrigation project.

11,040 Hectares of Agricultural Land Will Get Irrigation Facility

Minister Shri Gautam Tetwal said that administrative approval has been granted by the State Government for Mohanpura Extension Irrigation Project under the Sarangpur Assembly constituency. The project will cost Rs 396.21 crore. Through this project, irrigation facilities will be provided to 11,040 hectares of agricultural land in 26 villages of Sarangpur tehsil.

Project will Increase Farmers’ Income

Minister Shri Tetwal said that under this project, a modern pressurised pipe irrigation system will be adopted, which will significantly improve irrigation efficiency along with saving water. The project will improve the groundwater level in the region, increase agricultural production, and also raise farmers’ income. About 10,400 farmer families will get direct benefits from this scheme.

Minister Shri Gautam Tetwal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the State Government is continuously working in public interest. Farmer welfare is highest priority of the government, and efforts are being made to ensure that benefits of schemes reach the last person. The Mohanpura Irrigation Project is a large and long-term beneficial scheme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has given a new gift to Sarangpur by approving the connection of 26 villages with the Mohanpura Dam irrigation project. For this, he expressed gratitude to Chief Minister on behalf of the people of Sarangpur.

26 Villages Connected with Mohanpura Irrigation Project

Under the expansion of Mohanpura Irrigation Project, villages of Lima Chauhan, Panda, Tootyahedi, Darana, Devipur, Bhainswa Mata, Bhawanipur, Kalali, Aranya, Lottiya, Ghattiya, Rojadkalan, Dhamanda, Gayan, Patti, Ichiwada, Shankarnagar, Amlawata, Piplya Pal, Padlya Mata, Sherpura, Kamalsara, Kishankhedi, Sultania, Jogipura, and Chhapra of Sarangpur tehsil have been connected with the scheme.
