Mild tremors felt in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Apr 13 (Reporter) Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Mandi on Sunday morning, approximately 150 km from here. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were recorded at 9.18 am, with the epicenter located in Kiargi, near Sundarnagar. The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter and occurred at a depth of five kilometers. Although the tremors prompted some residents to rush out of their homes in concern, the low intensity meant that many people did not feel the quake. Several areas of Himachal Pradesh, including Chamba, Shimla, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kangra, Kinnaur, and Mandi, fall under Seismic Zone V, indicating high earthquake vulnerability...////...
